The concept of “coaching” for me has always been limited to its use in the work space, particularly, in managing relationships with subordinates. Experiencing it outside of this space and focusing more personally on myself was quite an out-of-the-box experience for me, but one that has proven to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent years. Life coaching has challenged me to be more open and honest with myself, and has taught me how the tiniest (although sometimes difficult) changes in perspective can make all the difference in coping with and appreciating everyday life much better, with a serenity and mindfulness that I didn’t always have before.
