The concept of “coaching” for me has always been limited to its use in the workspace, particularly in managing relationships with subordinates. Experiencing it outside of this space and focusing more on myself personally was quite an out-of-the-box experience, but one that has proven to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent years. Life coaching has challenged me to be more open and honest with myself and has taught me how the tiniest (although sometimes difficult) changes in perspective can make all the difference in coping with and appreciating everyday life with serenity and mindfulness that I didn’t always have before.
