In a world of constant change and innovation we are faced with the challenge to not only  overcome and master this inner-voice that keeps us stuck at our comfort-zone but also to successfully adapt to unpredictable circumstances. Besides that we are also required to build relationships with work colleges, team mates, our bosses or employees or all of them at once.

The ability of taking advantage of all you can be in order to meet and overcome the challenges of life is more important than ever.

Project Aristotle, a study released by Google this past spring, supports the importance of soft skills even in high-tech environments and lists being a good coach, in other words the capacity to listen powerfully, among the “Top Seven” characteristics of success:

“The seven top characteristics of success at Google are all soft skills: being a good coach; communicating and listening well; possessing insights into others (including others different values and points of view); having empathy toward and being supportive of one’s colleagues; being a good critical thinker and problem solver; and being able to make connections across complex ideas.” Read the full article.

The bottom line is this: With having a coach, you are quite simply taking advantage of the opportunity of developing and strengthening all those 7 characteristics.
